K9-PT DOG TRAINING TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. General Information

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) outline the responsibilities and expectations between K9PT (“the Business”, “Trainers”, “we”, “our”) and the dog owner (“Client”, “you”, “your”) regarding participation in dog training sessions, programs, and related services. By enrolling in training, you agree to these terms in full.

2. Training Services

Services may include private lessons, group classes, behaviour consultations, board-and-train programs, or supervised use of training equipment. Our team uses humane, science-based, positive reinforcement methods. While every effort is made to help you reach your goals, results vary depending on your dog’s temperament, history, environment, and owner consistency. No guarantee of specific outcomes is made.

3. Client Responsibilities

You agree to actively participate in your dog’s training and follow all guidance provided by K9PT. You are responsible for your dog’s behaviour at all times, including during training and while on K9PT premises. You must inform trainers of any health conditions, injuries, behavioural concerns, or aggression history. Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations, flea, and worm prevention.

4. Equipment and Safety

Training equipment may include leads, harnesses, long lines, toys, enrichment tools, treadmills, and slat mills. You consent to the use of such tools as deemed suitable by K9PT.

Dogs must remain on lead and under control unless instructed otherwise. Children must be supervised. The safety of dogs, clients, and staff is our top priority.

5. Liability and Waiver

You acknowledge that dog training carries inherent risks, including injury to people, animals, or property. K9PT and its representatives will not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in training or equipment use. You accept full responsibility for any damage or injury caused by your dog.

6. Payments and Cancellations

Payment is required in full before training begins. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the session. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice or “no-shows” may be charged in full. Prepaid sessions must be completed within the specified time frame; expired sessions are non-refundable.

7. Money-Back Guarantee (Training Programs Only)

K9PT offers a Money-Back Guarantee for select training programs if:
(a) you attend all classes, group chats, and Zoom calls;
(b) you apply the training methods provided;
(c) you email K9PT for assistance before requesting a refund.
Failure to meet these requirements voids the guarantee. Refunds exclude missed sessions, partial participation, or change of mind.

8. Health and Behaviour Policy

Dogs showing illness symptoms (e.g., coughing, vomiting, diarrhoea) must not attend training. K9PT may refuse or discontinue training if a dog’s behaviour poses a risk. Aggressive or reactive dogs may need private or behaviour sessions before joining group classes.

9. Marketing and Privacy

Personal information collected will be kept confidential and not shared with third parties.

By submitting an enquiry or booking form, you consent to receive training updates, marketing emails, and promotional content from K9PT. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in our emails or by contacting us directly.

K9PT may send training updates or marketing emails, which you can opt out of. Photos or videos taken during sessions may be used for K9PT’s website or social media. Inform us if you do not consent. All media use is at trainer discretion.

10. Data Protection

All client information is securely stored and used solely for providing training services. Details are only shared when legally required or with your explicit consent.

11. Termination of Services

K9PT may terminate training if a client breaches these Terms or if a dog’s behaviour is deemed unsafe or unmanageable. No refunds will be provided in such cases.
